About Our Business
Great Chicago Carpentry was started by a
carpenter in Chicago with over two decades of
fine custom carpentry experience. He set out to
form a small carpentry company that separated
itself from contractor owned companies, bucking
the trend of delivering substandard products by
use of semi-skilled labor and cheap materials. He
opted, instead, to deliver higher quality products
and services by insisting on quality materials and
experienced, talented journeyman tradesmen.

refer you to one of our designers.
At Great Chicago Carpentry, we excel in custom
doors to suit your needs, from specialized bi-fold
doors to maximize your closet space to wood
interior doors to highlight your home. We also
work with solid exterior doors to keep the outside
where it's supposed to be, on the outside. Our
doors are trimmed out with expertly installed
millwork.
Our custom cabinets are handcrafted to suit your
needs. At Great Chicago Carpentry, we never
compromise on materials or construction
techniques. Instead, we educate all of our
customers so they understand the benefits of
extraordinary woodworking.
We can use a Shop Fox Planer Moulder to bring
you the highest quality in millwork. We can create
any base, casing, crown molding, handrail,
header or plinth block, which allows for a fully
custom finish to any home. Clients can draw,
sketch or digitally create and design any profile
up to 7" in width and our craftsmen will bring the
profile to life. We can precisely match historical
trim work; just give us a small sample of the
profile and we can make an exact replica.
